Moroccan cigars

Ingredients:

* 1 medium onion, finely cbopped
* 1/3 cup olive oil
* 750 g lean minced beef or lamb
* 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
* 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
* ground pepper
* 1/2 cup chopped fresb parsley 
* 5 eggs
* 500 g filo pastry 
* 180 g butter, melted

Preparation:
 
Preheat oyen to 150°C. To make Filling: Cook onion in the oliye oil until soft. Add beef or lamb, crushing it with a fork. Add seasonmgs and spices. Cook 10-15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon, until meat is well cooked and lump-free. Add parsley.
 
Lightly beat the eggs m a bowl and pour oyer the meato Cook for 1-2 mmutes, stirring, until egg mÍxture sets to creamy consistency.
Add more spices and seasonmgs, if desired. Allow the filling to cool.Cut each sheet of fIlo pastry mto three equal-sized rectangles. Place one on top of the other and coyer with a damp tea-towel.
 
Brush one of the rectangles lightly with melted butter.Place a teaspoon of fJling along one of the short edges. Tuck the edge and ends of pastry around the fJling, and roll mto a cigar shape. Repeat with other rectangles. 7 Place cigars side by side on a greased tray. Brush with melted butter and bake, for 25-30 minutes until the cigars are golden. Serve hot.
