Ingredients :

* 1 kg (2 lbs 3 oz) of sesame seeds (toasted) *  250 g (9 oz) of almonds * 2 soupspoonfuls of cinnamon

* 3 or 4 grains of gum-acacia crushed with one sugar * 1 level soupspoonful of crushed aniseed

* 750 g (1 lb 10 oz) of caster sugar

Preparation: 

Wash, drain and grill the sesame seeds in a pan, stirring all the time. Skin the almonds and fry them in oil. Mix the almonds and sesame seeds with the sugar and put through a mincer one, then add the gum-acacia, cinnamon and aniseed (all crushed) to the mixture.Arrange in a dome on a dish. Press down and sprinkle icing sugar with a sieve.
